Hawaii Tourism Authority Unveils Interactive Data Page

HONOLULU (KHON2) – The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) announced Thursday, June 10 that its Tourism Research Division has launched a new interactive tool that provides a quick overview of tourism-related information and data.

The tool includes visitor statistics, Hawaii hotel reports, Hawaii vacation rental performance reports, quarterly Hawaii timeshare surveys, and geolocation data.

There are also summary dashboards for Hawaii and island summaries for Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island.

“Our tourism research division continues to provide essential data and reports that the visitor industry, key stakeholders and other businesses in Hawaii and around the world rely on. These new dashboards provide a wealth of valuable state and county-wide information, which is especially needed at a time when HTA is ramping up its destination management efforts.

Summary dashboards also display key visitor statistics, market share by source market, and a ranking of the top ten international and domestic markets.

Location data company “UM” was contacted by HTA to collect information for dashboards via geolocation data on smartphones. The data is anonymous and cannot be used to track individual users or devices.
