The town Of Hilo situated on sceni Hilo Bay has an average of over 70 inches of rainfall eash year( the wettest city in the U.S.A.), giving it a lush green beauty, the green growth extends to the beaches and ravines. There are several historic places to visit along with quaint shops and beautiful beaches. First settled in 1100 A.D., colonized by missionaries in the 1800's and sugar trade in the 1900's, today it is a calm, breathtaking place to visit.

Direction
The town of Hilo is located just north of the Hilo Airport. From the airport, turn right on Highway 11 which ends at Banyan Drive. and Highway 19. Turn left on Highway 19 to enter the downtown area.
