"The dodo was first seen by Portuguese sailors in Mauritius about 1507. They hunted it for food, killing large numbers with clubs. Pigs and rats, brought in by European settlers, devoured dodo eggs, which presumably were laid on the ground. The dodo disappeared by 1681; it was among the first animals to become extinct in the modern period. Lewis Carroll used the dodo as a character in his famous book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". So if I die here, my death-certificate will probably read like this: "We hereby certify, that Alexander Dobos is dead as a dodo." If I end up in the hands of Dodo Mortuary, Inc., that is :-).
