A popular vote in 1984 gave a five year mandate to this spectacular
sea creature to be the state's official fish. Its name is 
Picasso trigger fish, but it's popularly known as 
humuhumu nukunuku a pua'a, or "the fish, that talks like a pig"... 
and it does. The mandate expired at the end of its term and 
nobody bothered to renew it. So it's now the unofficial, official 
state fish of Hawai'i :-).
