Hokulea sets sail for Tahiti.

Western scholars had argued, that Hawai'i must have been discovered
by accident, because without a sextant or compass, long distance
navigation was impossible. To prove the opposite, the Polynesian
Voyaging Society built an exact replica of one of those famed double
hulled canoes, the Hokule'a. They made the trip to Tahiti and back
without any modern navigational instrument.
