Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole spent time in jail for his support of the 
queen's return attempt. After Annexation though, he became a 
U.S. Senator for Hawai'i and represented Hawaiian interest 
in Washington, for many years. He was the last royal 
to be active in Hawaiian politics.
