"The superior forces of the United States of America" landed on the day
before the takeover, as they did every week for recreation. This time
though, they had double ammunition and a Gatling gun. They never
interfered throughout the events. The U.S. Government initially didn't 
accept the annexation petition from the Provisional Government, declared 
the takeover illegal and encouraged the restoration of the monarchy.
